Trader Joe's Maple Oat Beverage Review

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!

If you’re reading this right now that means you must love Trader Joe’s like me or you simply just stumbled upon my little space on the internet by accident. No matter what brought you here, I am so happy to have you!!

I asked my friends over on my Instagram if they would like me to review different Trader Joe’s seasonal items. The majority of them said yes, except for two people *cough, KJ & Nolan, cough*.

To preface this, I currently live in Arizona where there’s no such thing as seasons. It goes from being 100+ out to be 75 degrees for the fall/winter. I grew up in a beautiful small town in Wisconsin, and to say I miss a true Autumn would be an understatement. With that being said, I try to hold close anything I can that reminds me of the fall season back home. This is where Trader Joe’s comes in. They are known for their unique and seasonal items that you can only get at their stores. Because I’m a hoe for Trader Joe’s and anything fall-related, this series was born. Each week I will be releasing two blog posts reviewing a TJ seasonal item. Follow along on my Instagram and don’t forget to leave a comment below letting me know if you agree or disagree with my tastebuds.

DISCLAIMER: ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN AND ARE NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH TRADER JOE’S IN ANY WAY. I APOLOGIZE IF YOU LOVE AN ITEM AND I DON’T. THIS POST IS NOT SPONSORED (I WISH THOUGH).

The first seasonal item to be reviewed is the Non-Dairy Maple Oat Beverage coming in at $2.99 for 32 fl oz.

First impressions:

This beverage smelled AMAZING. It made me feel like I was smelling fresh maple syrup straight from the tap of the tree. Although sweet, the creamy oat milk was not too overbearing with the maple taste. For me, it’s very hard to drink milk, whether dairy or a dairy alternative, straight. I made sure to pick up their new cold brew coffee to pair Trader Joe’s Maple Oat Beverage with.

With Cold Brew:

I loved adding this oat beverage to Trader Joe's ready-to-drink cold brew coffee. The maple flavor added just enough sweetness to the coffee without the coffee losing its taste. The one thing that I did notice was that the oat beverage was a little grainier than others that I’ve tried before.

Final Thoughts:

If you like the taste of maple syrup, you’re going to love this product. It was the perfect accompaniment to my morning cold brew for a non-dairy twist. Trader Joe’s suggests adding this to oatmeal for added flavor or to top off your favorite cereal. Overall, I really enjoyed the Maple Oat Beverage but I would like it to be a little more creamy like they claim. I also felt like the package looks bigger than it actually was. After two cups of cold brew, I’m already halfway through the carton. Or maybe I just love my creamer with a side of coffee haha.

Rating:

3/5
